Healing Developmental Trauma
At our agency, we specialize in the treatment of Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (CPTSD)—a condition rooted in chronic, early-life trauma that disrupts the brain’s natural developmental trajectory. The first three years of life are critical: during this time, the brain forms up to 90% of its neural pathways, shaping how we connect, regulate, and respond to the world.
When early experiences involve neglect, abuse, or disrupted attachment, those pathways are often wired for survival rather than connection. But neuroscience offers hope. With the right interventions, the brain can be rewired. And that’s where our work begins—through relational, play-based, and sensory-informed therapies designed to restore what was missed.

We are thrilled to announce that this mission is now even stronger with the addition of DeAnna Wahlheim, MA, LMFT, to our clinical team. With over 18 years of experience treating complex trauma-related disorders, DeAnna brings extraordinary clinical depth, warmth, and expertise to our practice. She specializes in working with children, adolescents, adults, and families who have experienced developmental trauma (CPTSD) and single-incident trauma (PTSD).
DeAnna is not only a skilled trauma therapist, but also a powerful parent coach and educator, offering attachment-focused parenting classes that support caregivers in becoming healing agents in children’s lives. Her training spans some of the most respected, research-based therapeutic models available today:
- Sensorimotor Psychotherapy
- Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT)
- Theraplay
- EMDR
- Sand Tray Therapy
- Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy
DeAnna’s integrative, compassionate approach aligns seamlessly with our commitment to neuroscience-informed, developmentally appropriate care. Her presence enriches our agency, expands our capacity, and strengthens our mission to offer hope and healing to those impacted by trauma. We are honored to welcome her—and excited for the transformational work ahead.
