The relationship between therapist and client is one of the most important aspects of having a positive and successful experience in therapy, for children and their families. I consider it an honor and a privilege to walk alongside a child or adult as they take that first step to begin their healing. I love working with families and children by creating a gentle, safe, and accepting environment. I am committed to working closely with parents recognizing that they are vital in this healing process.
I have extensive training on issues of abuse in both children and adults. I have conducted workshops on the effects of trauma and abuse, and how to effectively heal from it in both the United States and Mexico. I am fully bilingual and have extensive experience working with Spanish speaking clients, as well. I have experience working with anxiety, sexual abuse, trauma, attachment difficulties, grief, behavioral issues, autism, and ADHD.
I am currently working toward my play therapy certification. I have over 45 hours of training on trauma and attachment difficulties in play therapy. I use art, play therapy, and sand tray in my work.
“Deep within us- there lives a feeling of wanting to be lovable, of wanting to be the kind of person that others like to be with. And the greatest thing we can do is to let people know they are loved and capable of loving.” Mr. Fred Rogers.
